Diva Challenge #234, That's New to Me #36 & Made by Joey #77

Diva Challenge #234-UMT: CanT

I had so much fun this week with all of the great patterns the challenges had in store. I've been away from my routine for a bit so it's nice to get back into my groove.
First up with The Diva: this took on a life of it's own. It started off as sketchbook practice and it wasn't until I decided to frame it that it felt like it could be a finished piece. I wanted to take it out of the grid and play with the endless variations that this pattern is capable of. What a great pattern-it's definitely going into the repertoire of faves!

That's New to Me #36: "Yang" & "Yah"

This was fun. Who loves "Yah" baby. I did not know when to stop. I'm down to the last couple of watercolor ATC's from this group. I started with an 11 x 14 sheet of bristol board that seemed to generate an endless stack of ATC's.

Made by Joey #77: Alphabet Monotangle~N'zeppel

I loves "Yah", but I loves "N'zeppel" more.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Your comments always make my day.

    1. Thank you Christine! I'm sorry the images aren't larger. I blame my crappy cell phone camera;-) Even with Photobucket sharpening they are still fuzzy when they get much bigger.

  3. It shows you had so much fun with all these patterns! I think your N'Zeppel tile is my favorite because of its beautiful composition, but I love all three :-)

  4. these are all great! I love the energy and whimsy in your Yah tile. Of course, N'zeppel steals the show; it always does. Very clever, too, the way you put CanT on hollibaugh planks! Wonderful work. Looks like you had lots of fun.

  6. Beautiful. I also wanted to try Yah, but did not get the hang of it - will have to try again.

  7. Who loves Yah? Me!! I looked at that pattern, but like Susan, just didn't get the hang of it. I may have to rethink... I love the bands you used for the CanT. It really shows off how versatile that tangle really is. Your 'Nzepple (one of my faves!) looks great with the added color. I also love how you added the strings along the sides. It looks like pins holding lace. What a great week!

  9. I like your idea for CAN T. I played it much more traditionally. Maybe some time I'll also be able to think outside the box---um, tangle.

  10. I'm amazed with your piece for the Diva challenge - CanT is brilliant, I love what you've made here and your other pieces are very lovely too. I especially like the Nzeppel monotangle, a fave tangle of mine - the blue and coffee look fab together :)

  11. I love how you took CanT out of the box, so to speak. It really does work as a border. (And you can use it for this week's Diva challenge: stripes!) Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. It always inspires me.
