Use My Tangle Monday: Moowa by Anja Ipsen
Anyhoo, I used up several pages in my sketchbook practicing this. I need more work but this was a pretty good start.
Finish my Tile series: Japonica
Joey started us off with a hexagonal string for this holiday inspired challenge. After much deliberation, I decided to keep it simple. I love the colors of the tissue paper. This was a fun piece t create.
Zentangle HQ
I created some home made 3Z tiles to jump in on the 12 Days of 3Z challenge from Zentangle HQ. These are so nice because they're fairly quick to complete and they make a great mosaic. I sort of penciled in strings that fit together but lost my way;-)
I finished this Travelling Tangle this week:
My finish to Kat van Rooyen's super fun spill tile
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Your thoughtful and generous comments delight and inspire me!
Gorgeous tile with Moowa. It is a unleashed sea !
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine! Unleashed is a good description;-) I used a traditional calligraphy pen and had a few dripping accidents.
DeleteLove your Moowa tile! The movement is incredible. The brightness of the Joey tile is lovely, and aren't the 3Z tiles fun. I also make some out of the regular tiles so I could play along. Your traveling tile with the gems is outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate! There where a lot of fun ideas to play with this week;-)
DeleteI love everything you did this week! On the Diva Challenge, I love how the Sand Swirl echoes the shape of the Moowa, but adds texture to the piece. Your Joey Challenge is so colorful and beautiful. Rich looking! Your 3Z tiles are beautiful. Using that shape is a whole new paradigm, isn't it? Your traveling tangle tile is amazing. I just love your drop shadows! I must take notes... (hehe). What a great post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Antonine! I'm surprisingly quite taken with the 3Z concept. It's been a very inspiring week so far;-)
DeleteWhat a great composition of Moowa. It fits so well with Sandswirl. Your shading is so fantastic. I like your other tiles, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Trixie! Sandswirl is probably my number one over used pattern but I love it so much;-)
DeleteI love all your tiles! The traveling tile is really neat, especially using the spill as your string.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nic! I had a lot of fun with that Travelling Tangle Tile. It's funny sometimes how, in a split second, you "see" something in your head and you know there's no use fighting it. I did not want to do gems on this, but the tile had other ideas;-)
DeleteThese are all fabulous! Your Moowa and Sandswirl go together so well! Love your 12 Day Tiles!
ReplyDeleteThank you Deanne! I'd like to say the pattern choice was instinctive but it was purely dumb luck;-)
DeleteMoowa and Sandswirl are beautiful together!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne! This tile turned out much better than it should have;-)
DeleteSo much stunning about WONDERFUL tiles :-)!!!! Wow wow wow!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadine! You are so sweet;-)
DeleteGorgeous tiles :-)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Gudrun!
DeleteWow, all tiles are so gorgeous!! Love the combination between Moowa and Sandswirl. My favorit this week is the tile with the gems.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sabine! The pattern combo was a happy accident. I use Sandswirl when I need to take a break from Tipple, my other fill of choice. I didn't catch the similarity until I was finished with the tile;-)
DeleteBeautiful work. Shapes like Moowa and Mooka seem to require some muscle memory. I filled lots of pages before I could get any flow to Mooka, which I loved enough to do this :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean! I'm still filling pages with Moowa...
DeleteYou have exalted Moowa to new levels! (I had a feeling you would!) So elegant, and so clever to use it with Sandswirl. Everything is easy on the eyes, and I especially commend you for those 3Zs!
ReplyDeleteLovely tiles!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and very inspiring post! I love your way of using MooWa! It´s fantastic!
