Journals to the People: Wildflower Silhouette #2

2 signature junk journal

8” x 5 1/2”

88 pages

Garter closure

I created two of these wildflower journal covers months ago and have been working on them off and on. I’ve been hanging onto them because I love them so much and I think I can say that they are probably my favorite journals so far.

The cover is a collage of spent art tissue scraps that has been treated with several layers of matte medium.

Journals to the People: Wildflower Silhouette #1

Single signature journal
8" x 5 1/2"
 64 pages

Garter closure

I’ve been trying to send these two journals off to Lindsey Zenors Marketplace consignment shop since before Christmas and I just haven’t been able to let them go because I love them so much.

I couldn’t even bring myself to gift them to my nearest and dearest through out Christmas and the several birthdays that followed. Lol!

Journals to the People: “Josephine”

Josephine is one of my mixed media soft cover journals approximately 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”. This is getting ready to mail off to consignment at Nevermore Creations 17.

It's an eclectic journal. No theme, just stuff I like.

The food imagery is from "A Year at Chez Panisse", a very popular local restaurant.

Several digital collections were used.

Journals to the People: Petunia

This little  journal found a new life.

It’s been lingering in the cupboard for nearly two years. Petunia was one of the original stash busters, using some food packaging for the cover, left undecorated, waiting for its purpose.

Fast forward to yesterday and here she is, all dressed up, waiting for the trip to Tennessee (Lindsey Zenors Marketplace) and beyond.

She’s a scrappy little clean-up journal and a bit of a fatty. I think the cover was a box of tea. It measures  5 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2, 5 signatures, 188 pages .

The scrapbook papers came my way through a variety of swaps, so anything goes here…yet again.
