Diva Challenge # 332, Joey Challenge #182 etc...

"2 Squared"
Ha-krall, Abukas and Printemps

The Diva is back from her Summer hiatus. The challenge is to create a string using 2 squares.

ATC #5
Featuring: "Muscari"
Additionally: Pixioze, Batumber, Striping, Paisley Boa and Fescu

The "92 Days" Summer prompts are complete and now we're moving on to a series of prompts called  "The Little Zen Menu" from the Facebook group Tangled and Journaled Too! 5 or 6 prompts are posted every Saturday to choose from. I have one last pocket journal to complete so I decided to start with the weekly zendala template (selected from Erin Olsen's "Weekly Zendala Dare challenge  from her blog "The Bright Owl") and incorporate as many of the other prompts as makes sense.

I came home from work last night to some lovely Travelling Tangles in my mailbox. Aimee commandeered them;-)
"Why you needs happy mail? you got me!"

My nieces had given me and my sister gift certificates to this art studio a couple of Christmas's ago and we finally got it done;-)

Drinking wine and making art with the family. Good times🍻❤😀

Thanks so much for stopping by! Your thoughtful and generous comments delight and inspire me.

  2. Aimee is right, when you have an animal in the house, you never feel lonely and especially not with such a wise cat as she is!!!
I know your face and you look very happy with after creating these beautiful family art, but are the other girls sisters?
Lovely tiles and beautiful colours but this week my absolute favorite is the black/white tile for the Diva.

    1. Thank you Ria! Yes, Aimee is the best companion. We had a lot of fun at that paint night. My sister is on the left and the girls are my brother's daughters.

  3. Your squares for the DIVA challenge are arranged and drawn in a wonderful way.
The centerpiece for the mosaic is, like the other parts, beautiful in harmonic and powerful colors. I think your art work develops to a wonderful mosaic.
And I like your heartwarming cat.

  4. You have been a very busy tangler person---all with nice results. I really like the way you use color under your tangles. Your template #58 is so elegant. Dino (our dog) has absolutely no respect for paper. If someone leaves a newspaper on the couch or puts the mail there while going through it, that is where he wants to rest. I see we're lucky he's not a cat who can jump. ;-)

    1. Thank you Suzanne! I came across a you tube video of someone using highlighters under the colored pencil, so I tried it with the blue/violet and it looked great! The weekly prompts include a color prompt so I'm thinking I'll see if I can keep trying out the highlighter theory;-)
I've taken to keeping a largish masonite clip board handy so I can keep working when Aimee decides to situate herself in the middle of my work space. I had it on my lap and she stepped right down onto it and made herself comfy. She's a hoot;-)

    1. Thank you Annemarie! I'm glad for the weekly zendala prompt because left to my own devices, I avoid them.

  6. With me it is the Mooka/Msst tile. I wonder how your brain works. a few blues in the corner and you produce the most beautiful tile. There are so many every week on your post. May I ask what you do with all your tiles? Keep them in a shipping container? you should have your own art gallery, yes mam.

    1. Thanks Susie! I've had that blue/purple tile for months, staring at it, trying to figure out what to do with it. When in doubt, Mooka (then aura).
The completed travelling tangles go in an album. The rest either go on my inspiration board or in a box. Some of my favorites get laminated and made into refrigerator magnets that I give as gifts here and there.

    1. Thanks Jean! The funniest part of that night was that neither my sister or my nieces even knew who Monet was. I had picked the class because I happen to love Monet. My sister thought the bridge ruined the whole painting so she didn't paint it;-)
