Give Peace a Chance
Peace is the dominant topic in our challenges. In our art, in our country and in the world. I'll try to keep the chatter to a minimum as I've been pretty busy this week.
I scanned my Peace sign zendala on top of a note card I'd received from one of my Travelling Tangles peeps. The strip of washi tape felt right with this piece.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anne! It seems I've grown quite fond of the pearly Tipple fills, especially since I discovered the Signo Uniball pen. The white is really fluid and opaque.
DeleteI like your special peace tiles with these shining pearls,also the traveling tiles are beautiful, the "golden gate" tile is very original and the colours of the last one are stunning, love all your work.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ria! This Travelling Tangles Project is my new obsession. I love when I'm drawn out of my comfort zone. It's a little daunting putting my pen to another's lovely piece, especially when it's so different from my own style, but some how, some way, something magical happens and it's extremely satisfying-even a little thrilling. You should try it;-)

DeleteHi Michele, I've been meaning to comment on your beautiful work, but this week's offerings are just so gorgeous, I had to leave a note! Wonderful, colorful, gorgeous tiles! One thing--(actually two things!) Can you tell me where to find the Eureka tangle you used for the Golden Gate Clouds and the tangle that was used down the side of her card? I've looked and looked! Thanks and keep up the beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, thanks so much for the lovely words. "Eureka" is by Julie Beland. I've been drawing it for so long that I can't even remember where I first saw it. I think it's on Pinterest. Julie has a Pinterest board so type in her name and see what pops. As for Ragged Ray's border, I just messaged her on Facebook to ask. stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteOh, your Diva Challenge piece has such a totally calm - and yes, PEACEFUL quality. The piano keyboard image really draws in the theme of the musical inspiration for this challenge. I love it! All your work is wonderful, but I especially appreciate your travelling tangle work. I admire your beautiful work and also your commitment to follow through on the pieces you receive from others. I love in the bridge one how you created two distinctly different values by changing the ink used on the color background. You tho thmart!!
