Diva Challenge #205
2015-The Year of the Goat
I noodled around on the internet looking for inspiration. My initial plan was to use the character symbol for the goat or rat as the string. I Googled & doodled.
I found this really cool stock Vector image of a sheep and started doodling it in my sketchbook as a study.
Thanks for stopping by. Your comments mean the world to me.
This is just stunning. Magnificent rendering, and yours is better than the stock image. The tangles you have used around his beard and face are just perfect. Lovely work

ReplyDeleteThank you LonettA!
DeleteThank you Anne!
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though most of us resorted to some internet research for this one. You did a great interpretation of your inspiration----a most regal looking goat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne!
DeleteA Beautiful Tile, Michelle. Love how the Horns turned out. Great Pattern choices and shading.
ReplyDeleteA truly regal goat head. The simple lines on the horns make their own shading and set off the more complex tangles in the face...and the eyes are rectangular (I raise goats and look into their cute little rectangular eyes every day...) Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzanne!
DeleteFantabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAmazing work! I like your version much better than the stock image too. Your pattern choices are done really well and make the image look so intricate!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather!
DeleteSuch detail! It looks like it took a long time to do it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry! Funny.I'm trying to think and I have no idea how long it took-somewhere between 2-5 hours? done over a couple of drawing sessions. It was so relaxing I lost track of time~a truly Zentangle experience=).
DeleteOh WOW!! What a super goat.
